Parks and Facilities

The Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department manages over 170 parks covering more than 6,000 acres across the city. These parks include scenic green spaces, sports fields, splash pads, trails, and nature preserves. The department oversees nearly 100 miles of multi-use trails, 10 community centers, two senior centers, three family aquatic centers, three swimming pools, 141 athletic fields, 67 tennis courts, five golf courses, a botanical garden, and numerous recreational programs year-round.

Oklahoma City’s parks system is designed to promote wellness, community engagement, and access to nature. From downtown urban parks like Scissortail Park and Myriad Botanical Gardens to large neighborhood parks such as Will Rogers Park and Trosper Park, the offerings are diverse and inclusive. The department provides programming for all age groups including fitness classes, youth sports, adult leagues, art programs, senior wellness activities, and cultural events.
